Annecy

Annecy is a lovely tourist town with 52,000 inhabitants.
Nestling 448 meters up in the northern part of the French Alps, it owes its fame in part to the great charm of the old quarter, also known as “Little Venice.”

The lake, second official gem of this extremely exclusive town, is generally held to be one of the purest lakes in Europe, with temperatures that can rise as high as 26°.
As well as its many well-maintained beaches, a cycle path encircles over half of its 40km circumference…

The town of Annecy is just 20 minutes from Geneva by motorway, and 45 minutes from the ski resort La Clusaz.
Chamonix and Megève are both around 70 km away.

The shores of Lake Annecy are also home to the haut lieu of French gastronomy, and gourmets will appreciate renowned restaurants including the Auberge de Marc Veyra and the Auberge de Père Bise.
